Under the weather
Bristol hasn’t been feeling well. Although its hard to keep a good dog down, she’s just not her self. She’s on an antibiotic for 10 days for an upper respiratory infection. Unfortunately her little doggie daycare friends are feeling it too. Everyone is home this week and restricted from play. The weather has been really wet and chilly too so you could say this has kinda been the “worst-longest-crappiest-week-of-Bristol’s-life,” but we’re hanging in there.

Whew! We had a long week!

Bristol’s First Christmas Toy
Catching up
So it’s been awhile. Bristol and I have been busy. We’ve been trying to get walks and hikes in as much as we can.
There’s been lots of playtime at the hospital for Bristol with her many friends. She’s had lots of quality time with her family.
All in all things have been great for Bristol, and for us. I can’t believe how much I love this dog, or how much joy she brings to our home. Goodnight for now, we will be in touch soon. Bristol’s first Christmas and winter with us are just around the corner. We can’t wait to see what adventure is yet to come!

Recovering

Bristol was spayed on Thursday September 15th. Her surgery went well and her recovery has been uneventful. She’s still got about a week before she can go back to playing with her friends, and hiking or walking with me and Mark. I think she’s been a little depressed but at least she’s resting like she’s supposed to. I love the way she smiles in her sleep. -Catherine
Saturday Afternoon Nap…
Dogs in toyland
Every time I vacuum I pile Bristol’s toys up off to the side of the living room. Every time I do this I’m alarmed to see the amount of toys there really are. Not to mention every time I’m in the store and I see this “super-cute-thing-that-Bristol-would-love-oh-my-gosh-I-must-get-this-she-will-just-love-it-!-!-!” I buy it for her. And of course Mark rolls his eyes and says “doesn’t she have enough toys already?” Of course not!
Halloween is near!
One of Bristol’s favorite toys is a Loofa dog. I couldn’t resist this special Halloween Loofa from PetSmart. I love the blacked out tooth and witch hat.
I like how this photo came out …

… I was trying to hold it out to take a photo like in the top one, but she was literally lunging for it!
